My First Purse

This is the first purse that I've made. I LOVE purses and like to change them often, so I figured if I make them it will take care of a bunch of things! It will help my purse addiction and my crocheting addiction!!! This one was very easy to make and I think for my next one, I'll try a more difficult pattern!

Bagdelena Bear

This is Bagdelena Bear. She holds plastic shopping bags inside of her dress. She has on little wire rim glasses, but you can't see them. She hangs in my kitchen, and she can really hold a TON of plastic bags!

My First Blog!

I absolutely LOVE to crochet. I learned to crochet from my grandmother when I was a child. She made doilies and beautiful things with thread. I could do the chains, but my doilies looked just awful! So at that point, I didn't really pursue it. Then when I was 12, we moved and my new best friend Diane Kemp, crocheted afghans - with YARN! I'd never heard of this, but she showed me how to make the huge granny square afghan that she was working on. So I made a giant square afghan out of different colors of blue and was very happy. Then when I was 20 and pregnant, I started making some booties, a baby afghan, sweater, etc. And then I crocheted sometimes a lot, sometimes a little through the years. For the past 4 years or so, my crocheting had been curtailed. My hands and wrists just hurt too badly to crochet (RA, OA, carpal tunnel and some other things!). Since I've been getting some of these a little more under control, I'm able to crochet some again! So I thought this would be fun to blog about my progress, to show my competed projects and that this would help keep me motivated!! So, that's all for now, I have to get back to my crocheting!
